Bicincittà service is the new bike sharing system installed in Biella by the Municipality.

Starting from June 2008, there is a provisional bike station near the railway station where it is possible to hire a bike free of charge.

Reaching the city by train, bus or private car, you will then also find available bikes, perfect for short trips to the town center while being fun and healthy at the same time.

Within the end of 2008, Biella municipality intends to install 2 additional bike stations in the city.

Who Bicincittà is for:
Bicincittà service becomes an alternative means of transportation, for citizens or tourists. Bikes are stationed in strategic locations in the city (as the railway station is) and can be used to be faster and more efficient over short distances, avoiding parking problems.

 

Card issuing
If you are 18 years-old you can obtain your Bicincittà card by showing a valid ID and signing the service agreement. A security deposit of € 5,00 is requested. Each member of Bicincittà will be given a personal padlock to secure the hired bike.
